Save the Date for Menagerie

Artists Enclave & UNT on the Square are pleased to announce an upcoming interdisciplinary show featuring music & the visual arts. MENAGERIE will present musical works by Denton composers that express the wonderful, majestic, expressive world of animals.
— These pieces will be complimented by 2D & 3D works that represent and/or are inspired by animals. S. Andrew Lloyd’s “Three Prayers from the Ark”, Andrew May’s “The Twittering Machine” and Joseph Klein’s “The Leviathan” are part of the afternoon’s program.
— Featured vocalists, instrumentalists, composers and visual artists will be highlighed in upcoming press releases and social media postings.

Artists Enclave of Denton County issues a call for Visual Artists for our upcoming event – Menagerie.
— Paintings, drawings, prints, photography, fiber art, stained glass, mixed media and sculptural works are eligible. 2D work must be ready to hang, framed or gallery wrapped and cannot exceed 30″ x 40″. 3D work must not exceed 48″ for floor works and all table top pieces must be able to fit comfortably on a 12″ x 12″ base.
— Because of a limited amount of exhibition space, work will be juried by a 3-judge panel. Criteria will be based on the appropriateness of the piece to the show’s theme. Works need not be representational; they simply need to evoke a feeling specific to animals.
— Submissions will be taken from July 10th through August 22nd. Submissions should be in the form of jpeg images of the work, with title, dimensions, medium, and price as well as artist’s name,
phone #, email address. Limit of 3 entries per artist. Images and information should be sent to:
— Artists will be notified of acceptance status by August 29. Arrangements for drop off of selected work will be included at time of notification.
