WHAT?????? Imagine over 50 arts lovers walking into the Bearded Monk on the night before Halloween. Lots of surprises are in store so stay tuned. Mark your calendar now.
Come have a brew at the Bearded Monk, try your hand at “draw from the hat” acrostic spoken word & poetry AND meet Indigo Art and Framing’s Sibyl and Monique who will be our Guest Presenters with imaginative, quality framing ideas for both the artist and the arts collector. Their new business has just opened in Flower Mound and promises to be a great resource for us all.
So what’s your acrostic for this time of year? Here’s one to give you an idea of what words might be “in the hat” to spin an acrostic at the microphone!

It’s summer. It’s Tuesday. It was time to brew some ideas at the Bearded Monk with fellow Artists Enclave Members & folks interested in what AEDC is all about!
We grabbed a cold brew and heard some remarkable entrepreneurial insights from Artist Matthew Sallack of Otter Illustration.
Sallack is a Denton-based illustrator who focuses on subject matter like movies, music, video games, animals, junk food, and dinosaurs. His style is described as whimsical surrealism. You can find his work at the DIME Store, A Creative Art Studio and The Denton Community Market.
Enclave Eclectic 3
The Enclave Eclectic 3 was a great success … giving many new people in the area an opportunity to meet new artists, see a new space in town (Studio E) and cultivate the ARTS of visual art, poetry and music Denton style.

THURSDAY NIGHTS @ PAAC
The Greater Denton Arts Council and the UNT Student Artists Entrepreneurs invited Artists Enclave to be one of several Denton organizations speaking at “Arts Startups to Successes”.
Evening with Entrepreneurs
Artists Enclave Chair, Susan Carol Davis participated on the panel along with other local/area artists entrepreneurs in Dallas/Denton/Fort Worth job market.
Denton Art Forum
Artists exhibiting came from the Denton Gallery, Artists Enclave, Voertman’s Gallery & the Greater Denton Arts Council.
EGGS-IBITION 3: This Time It’s VIPersonal
Artists Enclave hosted our third fundraiser for the Denton High Cares with over 30 artists designing remarkable and creative eggs for a Silent Auction like no other.
Day of the Dance
TWU Dept. of Dance and Artist Enclave presented our second DAY OF THE DANCE. The audience enjoyed eclectic dance works — hip hop, modern dance, hula hooping, and more! This dance concert mixed raw movement and sound to create an evening of dance celebration.
Guest art vendors, Kimberly Bien with Salted Sanctuary Soap and jewelry designer, Isabel Cano, were in the Black Box Theatre Lobby with a percentage of sales benefiting TWU Dance and Artists Enclave.
No reservation or advance ticket sales were required but remember that there is limited seating. Suggested cash donation at the door: $5.00.
